• BALTIC UNIVERSE @ KORT PA KINOKINOFollow-up on short film seminar
On 2nd December 2011 from 2 to 4 pm First Motion will be on location in the Norwegian city of Sandnes to take a leading part in a short film workshop at the festival Kort på KinoKino. The workshop is a follow-up of the seminar »What is the worth of a short film?« which took place this June on the occasion of the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad (cf. May 2011 issue of First Motion’s newsletter).David Holme and Kristian Mosvold, the editors of the Baltic Universe, will participate in the workshop by presenting the status quo of the networking and distribution platform Baltic Universe, launched in February 2011. Using the example of the Baltic Universe, the main focus of the seminar is to point out to shortfilm makers »how to earn both money and credits on distribution. Because short films are attractive - if you distribute them the right way«, says Kristian Mosvold.Among others, representatives from the Norwegian Film Institute, Norgesfilm, Filmkraft Rogaland and various film companies will join the workshop as co-speakers and summiteers. By presenting the Baltic Universe to other media experts, First Motion will raise awareness for the advantages of the constantly improving online platform regarding alternative financing and distribution for short films and other av-media content, as well as networking and online co-producing of cross- and transmedia productions.
