First Motion at German-Russian documentary film days in Kaliningrad
From 22nd to 24th April 2012 the German-Russian documentary film days “Territorium Film” will take place in Kaliningrad for the second time. “Territorium Film” is a joint project between the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein and the Kaliningrad region aiming for drawing interest on documentaries in the neighbourly regions.

This year, First Motion is going to participate actively. Firstly, Bernd-Günther Nahm from Filmfund Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Ilze Gailite-Holmberga from National Film Centre of Latvia will present an overview on the experiences and outcomes of two years work in First Motion. Secondly, the 52 min. documentary film FISH & ONIONS by Marc Brummund, Bettina Herzner and Rene Fischer will be screened. The film shows the life situation of Russian Old-Believers at the shore of Lake Peipus, Estonia, in the far North-Eastern corner of the European Union. It was supported in its development as part of a cross media project by First Motion in 2010.
