On 25th September 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm First Motion will be on location in Aarhus to take a part in the 22nd edition of »Nordisk Panorama« (23rd to 28th September 2011). The Danish Five Cities Film Festival for Nordic Shorts and Documentaries invited First Motion to give a lecture on the specifics of transmedia production in relation to documentary films.
Project Manager Till Hardy and his colleagues Bernd-Günther Nahm (Filmwerkstatt Kiel, Germany), David Holme and Kristian Mosvold (University of Agder, Norway) will give up-to-date insights into the pioneering aspect and previous achievements of First Motion, e.g. the co-production and distribution plattform »Baltic Universe«. To underline the hands-on approach of First Motion projects developed with the New Media initiative will be presented as examples.
In case you are interested in participating in First Motion’s best practise know-how, please find the official announcement of the event and its main focus here:
Based on these concrete experiences we are eager to exchange opinions and discuss with you the values of digitization for you as a filmmaker.
Internet is often regarded as a problem by the film industry. Why pay when things can be downloaded for free albeit illegally?
Transmedia. Everbody talks about it, but what does it mean and should I do it as a filmmaker?
At the seminar, experts involved in First Motion will look at changes in production/user interaction by looking at supported projects.
Opportunities in distribution and changes in business models and revenue streams will be discussed on the basis of our own distribution toolbox »Baltic Universe«.
Based on these concrete experiences we are eager to exchange opinions and discuss with you the values of digitization for you as a filmmaker.
